The family system in our mafia mobile game lets mafiosi organize into powerful criminal families. Whether you’re joining an established family or starting your own, this guide covers everything that’s actually available in the game — no filler, no speculation.

What is a mafia family?

A family is a permanent, player-created organization. Mafiosi in the same family fight together, grow together, and build shared reputation. Each family has its own branding, structure, and internal hierarchy.

How do I join a mafia family?

You can join in two ways:

  • By invitation – Sent directly from a family boss or senior member.

  • By application – If the Family allows open applications, you’ll see a “Join” option on their profile.

Note: Some Families may set entry requirements like level, wealth, or achievements.

How do I create a Family?

To start your own Family, you must:

  1. Reach the required level.

  2. Pay $1,000,000 in-game cash.

  3. Set up your Family name, quote, banner, and avatar.

  4. Optionally add a Discord handle and custom color.

Once created, you are the Boss with full control over recruitment and identity.

What are the ranks in a Family?

Family ranks are preset and follow a fixed structure:

  • Godfather

  • Boss

  • Underboss

  • Crime Lord

  • Soldier

  • Associate

Ranks cannot be renamed or customized. Permissions are managed automatically by the game system.

What benefits do I get from being in a family?

Joining a Family provides real advantages:

As a Family Boss, you can define your crew’s identity through:

  • Avatar – Visual symbol shown in listings and profiles.

  • Quote – Add a threat, motto, or message to shape your tone.

  • Banner – Upload a graphic that represents your Family visually.

  • Discord contact – Optional contact point for communication or recruitment.

  • Color code – Choose a unique hex code to brand your crew (UI integration may vary).

These elements define your Family’s reputation and visual identity. Use them well to attract — or intimidate — others.

Are there limits to family size?

Yes. family size is limited based on:

  • Family real estate upgrades, which unlock more member slots.

  • Beta restrictions, which cap growth to keep the playing field balanced during testing.

You can increase capacity — but in beta, progress is intentionally throttled to ensure fairness.

Is there a leaderboard for families?

Yes — but leaderboard stats and how they’re calculated are covered in a separate FAQ. This article focuses only on mechanics and features you can actively use.

Can I leave a family?

Yes, you can — but be warned:

  • You’ll pay an in-game fee and health to walk away.

  • Your lose the additional personal skills you gained on joining.

  • Your former family may retaliate.

Loyalty is currency. Leave too lightly, and you’ll pay the price.

Tips for climbing the family ladder

  • Make your family profile unforgettable — use the banner, quote, and avatar strategically.

  • Only recruit people who play — dead weight weakens you fast.
